I really need some weed right now.

Posted in Group:

And even though I'll probably get to smoke in two hours it isn't enough. The weed will calm me down for a while, but then I need more or I get frustrated and angry.

I feel like I am hopelessly addicted. My husband and best friend smoke it too, which makes it that much harder to resist. I am just bored and anxious and angry right now.

When I first started smoking it was an amazing uplifting experience. Now it mainly just calms me down and gives me the giggles. Even when I go through phases of smoking and nothing happening, I will continue to do it, to try and get high anyway.

I don't see myself ever quitting forever. I don't know if any advice will help me, but I appreciate you guys letting me vent.

Please be careful. The dealers are now lacing marijuana with other drugs to get their clients to try more. My son is now in a facility dealing with his addictions. His behavior became so bad that I had to get help from an outside facility. I can not stress enough that you could be hurt in so many different ways, Physically and mentally. My son went from using just marijuana to using so many to speak of. He got his drugs for free at first. Then, he started running for the dealers. I beg you to stop while you can. I now, have to get a tutor to catch my son up on school work. Your brain stays where you start using. So when you stop, Your brain has to catch up. My son is on a forth grade level, when he should be in 9th grade. There are other problems so numerous to mention. I hate to hear his old friends say" It is just a little weed." Your brain gets used to the amout you use,so you need more to get the same fix. That is why weed is the gate way drug. You keep searching to keep getting the same high.Drugs destroy family, selfworth, futures. I hope you will get the help you are searching for. I do not know you personally, but I think you are worth fighting for. God bless you.

My crazy desire for excessive marijuana use has lessened now that I'm coming down from a slight manic episode. I think that some (normal) people can get away with smoking it, but not me if I'm feeling all giddy and not sleeping enough.

Hello. I so very much relate to what you are going through. I am also bi-polar with a serious marijuana addiction. That is the reason i joined this support site, because i am hoping that getting a handle on my addiction will help my mental health, even though i have believed for years i would never give it up. Whenever i have had a manic episode in the past i have noticed that my need to smoke is much higher because of the feeling of needing to go go go, and it helps bring me back down a bit and helps with the anxiety i feel. I also have not been sleeping enough, and it feels like what else is there to do? Im just sitting here at 4 in the morning with my thoughts all in dissaray. I have been a several times a day smoker for about a year and a half and being 4 days sober smoking is all i can think about. My ex-husband who got me hooked and is still a good friend is a heavy user as well, so that does not help. I am doing my best to seek out support and distract myself as much as i can. Please feel free to vent whenever you feel the need, i certainly will be.
